I think I fianlly got the hang of doing this today.   My wife is gone for the weekend.  Have spent 8 hours the past two days tying flies.   Finally the hand whipping flelt right and looked good when I looked at it under magnification and compared it to using the whip finisher.   The clusmy old goat finally learned to do something new.   Rick
