Mayhaps the peat reek from Laphroig would do better as an attractant, and the de-ice from that single malt would be pretty potent...  Swallowing the fly may be a hazard after numerous attempts at the de-ice procedure, therefor, in the name of safety, perhaps one should not de-ice alone...

Lagavulin is from Islay and I dare say J&B is not going on my fly.  Swig the Lag, carefully tilt head back, allow bugger to be de-iced, remove fly, swallow Lag.  Do NOT attempt to swallow with fly in mouth or the trout will laugh you off the stream.
