Surely you're not suggesting alcohol abuse by dipping said wooly bugger into the 100 proof? The 100 proof will definitely lower the freeze point of the caster...
Point noted Mark, but the caster won't feel much as he/she freezes to death and the fly should be free of ice. What more can I say?
