Perhaps something that will help..if the "glob" of glue is not to your
liking, you can fix it..just heat it with the end of your glue gun, but not
pushing out any glue. Twirl it and then put it in some cold water right away
and it will keep the shape. A good professional tyer friend of mine keeps a
candle burning at his bench. He puts on the glue over the bead, then twirls
it quickly over the candle so it stays warm and is exactly the shape he
wants, then plunges it in cold water. I've tried both ways and while the
candle works well, I am not willing to take a chance on turning my tying
room into an inferno so prefer using the heat from the point of the glue
gun.  Practice does make perfect..so keep trying. Joyce
