I have that problem on my Jeep and I have a similar set up from Thule for my
Kayaks.  I didn't set the rollers far enough back and the back edge of the
top of the Jeep got scratched from the sand on the kayak.  I have to adjust
that better next year.  :0)  It does help when you're short like I am.
