I tend to go for the Sci Angler Master Series AST my self I have the Bass bug taper in
a 9wt. I used a AST distance taper in 4wt, 5wt & 6wt. I've had the 6wt for 3 years
with no problems,it's starting to wear now so I'll be using that one specifically for
Carp fishing (the pond has bushes the line get snagged on) and I just bought the new
Distance/presentation 6wt taper.

I always use the WF but I'm thinking about using the DT for my 4wt since I use that
mostly in close quarter on small streams and I hear the DT is better for roll casts.

I have the Wulff Triangle Taper Intermediate line 9wt for surf I casts great even in
the wind.

My .02
