My preference in floating lines is SA. The Triangle Tapers are also good lines. If
you do a lot of roll casting I would recomend the Triangle Taper. If you do a lot
of lake fishing and have to deal with some heavy breezes I would be inclined to
use a steelhead taper made by Scientific Anglers.All of the lines I have mentioned
are a weight forward design.
As far as all the different line models I think it is a bunch of marketing hype.
Every time a company brings out a new model of lines they claim they float 20%
higher than the last model and has 15% more shootability. Based on the performance
of  the first fly line I purchesed in the late 60's a line today should shoot into
the next county and float about 1 inch above the surface of the water.
