Kool Aid is a popular drink mix in the U.S. It comes in small, unsweetened packages
which are mixed with water and sugar to produce a drink. In the army it used to be
called "Bug Juice," for some reason. It works very well to dye fibers from animal
sources. It is permanent and non poisonous, and easy to use.

Similar results can be derived from food coloring, Easter Egg Dye, or the coloring
that is available at stores that specialize in cake and candy decoration (stronger
food coloring, available in larger quantities) Kool Aid is just more readilly
available around here than these alternatives.

There may be similar stuff available in Germany or elsewhere, but be sure that it's
unsweetened, and just try it out. It's all fun.
