Thanks for the feedback everybody. Here's what I decided: I'm keeping the traveler my wife & daughter bought. I'm not going for the accessories; I'll continue to use my "manual clouser arm" (thanks again for the reality check Allan) if I find it problematic with the bent shaft.
I remembered the little oasis tying station I bought had a clamp for a vise so it provides a pedestal if I need one. I'll keep the c clamp then. It's not the most portable but I've traveled with it before. I've been tying on the traveler today and I love it. I tied up a dozen blondes for another swap I'm in in one night. For me, that's cranking. Prior to the rotary I could get three or four done in one night. So, thanks again. I'm enjoying the new vise already and I appreciate the opinions. Now to start looking at the regal..... ;-> Ken
