Polly Rosborough had a wonderful mink fly he created which is a very effective match for a brown dragonfly nymph. I think he created it for a stonefly nymph.

In Europe, mink is available in a number of dyed colors and strips and hair - used for small streamers (where bunny strip fur would be too long), among other things.

If you want to play with regular red-brown mink, almost any thrift shop will often have pieces available.
