Martin, I've been using UNI for only four years, but it has always flattened well and split easily during that time. I've read those criticisms about 'bonding' elsewhere, but just ignored them because they didn't seem to be true. I believe that Paul Marriner has connections at UNI, so he may know what the complete explanation is, and whether those criticisms are folklore or if there's been some change.
