Martin, just back from a fishing trip with Jean-Guy the owner of
UNI-Products and I'm just catching up on the email. UNI hasn't changed
their thread. It's lightly bonded and can be easily flattened and split.
UNI waxed thread is also misunderstood, the wax isn't a dubbing wax.
It's a proprietary wax that is infused into the thread to help prevent
fraying and it also helps the thread grip material better. Waxed thread
can also be flattened but a little less easily than the unwaxed variety.
