Hi
I don't know about the warranty any more. Sage just change their warranty policy to the orignal owner. I don't know when it went into effect. I know in the past it didn't matter when or how you acquired the rod. The last two I broke in May Sage warranteed both of them.

I have a sage 4 wt that I built myself. Love it. I think just the blank and
stuff cost me more than $250. I think you maintain the warranty, don't
you???

Bart, is a hog's ass pork? :-) I think you'ld be very happy with it. It's
probably one of the strongest 4 wts on the market.

Enjoy your new rod,
