Ginger, 

Thanks for the interesting links.  I had no idea the coyote was
so adaptable that they will even eat watermelons.  We'll
occasionally spot foxes here in the suburban Mid-Atlantic, but
have not yet seen any coyotes locally.  We have seen them in
rural western PA.  If they do show up locally, there's a yappy
white furball a few houses away from mine that I would be happy
to see transformed into a light lunch.  

I seem to remember that Fly Tier had a pretty substantial article
a few years ago describing the many uses of full coyote skins. 
The hair has really great markings.
