I have hairs and furs that are still in good shape that I bought when I first started tying flies back in 1972. I got some of them from Herters. They have been well wrapped in plastic for the long stretches that I was at sea and other time periods that I couldn't use them. I guess that's what's kept them in good condition. Jim C.
