I'm wondering if I should build a violin instead of the rod. Kidding aside. My son plays electric guitar and we talked already about the options to build one by ourself.
BTW: glues... what glues are you usually using to glue the grip and reel holder on the blamk? On my first 2 rods I used a glue which I bought at the flyshop. For the last rod they didn't had some of the glue and recomended to use some regular 2 component glue from a craft shop. Worked for me.
Again: What is your favorite glue?
5 minute epoxy. For grips, especially complete grips (not cork rings) a polyurethane glue that 'autofoams' is also good, since it will fill all crevices. Use a polyurethane wood construction glue for this.
