I was taught that way too Allan. Match the bug. I've seen Joyce's flies also, and her customers can't all be wrong, LOL. So they MUST all be right! mark

but many of my customers claim
that my flies catch more fish than do those of the competitors..and I think
the main difference is the foundation color of the thread.


Personally, I think it's got more to do with the skill of the tyer than the thread. I've seen Joyce's flies!
