I have
a DS2 8'6" and it's my main rod now. I broke the tip piece of the rod beyond
repair and sage replaced it no problem (send in your warranty card though). It
casts really nice... I had to get used to it at first. It seemed a little slower
then what I was using previously. It works great... having said that. I don't
have any expensive rods to compare it to. Hope this helps.
