It's weird since I was just out there last week. We flew over the
first fire when I left Wed night - you could see it from the
plane.
Got to stop at your shop and chat with the guys in there. I was
sorry to have missed you. Did drop some change for some things while I was
there...

KEN, EVERYONE.....The Simi Valley Fire is now burning about 5-6 miles to the north of my house... I can see the Smoke column rising above the houses...thought it isn't as intense as yesterday & the day before...not yet anyhow. On Saturday, at the Fly Shop, the Smoke Column was being blown directly over the Thousand Oaks area... Surrealistic sky as the Smoke blocked out the sun...you were bathed in a Amber/Brown light... ash falling allover the place... looked like the photos I remember from Mount Saint Helens in Spokane... very bizarre looking situation... at night you can sometimes see the glow from the fires... My sister & her family live in Simi Valley..but they are doing O.K. you could look up her street to the North & see the flames as the fire consumed everything.... We are doing alright. But this is certianly a very bad Fire Season already...DEAN....

Good luck to all -- including those who might have
family and friends threatened by the flames.
