Henk,
I found just the opposite as far as hardness goes. I used them for streamers
and my froggies. Had a lot of breakage. Found them to be brittle. Still have
several hundred that are just collecting dust. I agree, they had to be
sharpened out of the box.
That was about 10 years ago, they might be better hooks now than they were
then.
