[VFB] hooks

I am really excited about surf fishing. I need a crash course in hook sizes. I am having trouble, figuring out the deferens between a 1\0 or a # 1 1\0 is for the ocean a # 1 if fresh water. So when someone tells me to use a # 6 I am thinking of a nymph hook.
