Definitely. I bought a pair of supposedly good fit-over type sunglasses from the local sports shop - $20.00, I believe. Unfortunately it was a cloudy day. It was almost a month before I tried them out. There was a blemish right in the center of the left lens that was not noticeable in the cluttered shop, but was maddening outside - especially against a plain background (lake surface, sky, etc.). So I went to my optometrist and got a pair of polarized fit-overs from there for $40.00. Excellent quality.
Up to a point, ya gets whatcha pays for.
