I just read Midge Magic by Don Holbrook and Ed Koch. The Yong Special is much like the midges in this book, but the book takes them to the extreme. The authors give a color chart for Coats and Clark and DMC threads and relate them to specific flies and specific hatches. The pictures are great. It really opened a new field for me.
