Wes, as you know 2003 was a dry year :-( so there was almost no water in the
river, no water = no salmon. So the only place to fish was where there were
some deep holes, and there the big salmon was waiting for the water to come.
After a day of rain the river level raised 20 cm and the salmon started to
go up. That day I caught 15 king salmon over 15 kg :-)).and none under.
The techniques was very simple, the fly across the river let I float down
the river and STRIKE.
The flies we used are the ones you can see in the pictures alle WERY heavy
and on a sinking line(sink 6) and sink leader(also sink 6).
