My best of 2003: New fly: some chartreuse, bead thorax, soft hackle that Del Roberts gave me for Christmas and slayed the bream
New Material: I sure like Whiting dry hackle a lot Best trip: 12 days to Yellowstone with my wife and our 17 year old son. The catching was poor, but what a spectacular place. And got to meet DonO and fish with Lunker on the trip. Unforgettable trip Best buddy trip: long weekend on the Niangua in So. Missouri. Nice fish and some great stories Most memorable fish: A tie between my wife catching her 1st fish in 30 years,a catfish on a flyrod and my son catching his first dry fly trout, a Yellowstone Cutt on an Adams. Best day of fishing in a barrel: Buddy and I caught about 50 bass in a couple hours at a private pond along with 3 big crappie. Got tired and sat on the porch of the cabin, smoked a cigar with a beer and just stared at the pond. Good times: some of the great friends I've made on this list and some fun swaps Blessings: continued good health in our family and friends and some blessed recoveries for many of out VFB family 2004 goals: 1) Sowbug, here we come 2) A trip with my son 3) finish my basement remodel before my wife clubs me --- Wes Wada <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > BEST OF 2003 > new fly discovery: McCarty's GT (General > Terrestrial) > new flytying material: bronze or imitation pheasant > tail lite brite > flyfishing connected experience: light plane flight > over Trinity Alps, > Marble and Salmon Mountains in n.
