Steve, I bought my second pair of Simms breathables (the Guide model) four seasons back and they have performed flawlessly. (Just as well as they were quite spendy!) In 2000 I visited the Simms plant in Bozeman and saw with my own eyes how rigorously they test each and every pair (turn inside out, fill up with water under pressure - 17 psi, from memory) to check for pin- prick leaks. If you are willing to spend the money on a pair of Simms (Guide or G3), they should serve you well. Also, Simms after-sales service is excellent should a mishap happen. Your call. Hans
