The Canadian source you're referring to hasn't updated their websight. They
don't have the bobbin. You will only find it in old stock left on a shelf
somewhere. I spent over a year trying to locate the bobbin and trust me
when I say I called everywhere I could think of. I did actually talk to a
few fellow listers in my search. So they can vouch that I called
everywhere! <VBG> I ended up swapping for one from a friend of one of our
listers Allan Fish. It was used but in very nice shape. A little while
later Dean Endress did find a new one with the original packaging and
instructions on how to use it while he was cleaning out a back room in his
shop. They were originally produced for Gudebrod threads and Kreinik
threads. These bobbins are great! I don't know why they stopped making
them. I did have a lot of folks ask me why I would want to find one? So
not everyone liked them.
The plastic one's are a nice alternative. Ed Koch has quite a few of them
left as well as the thread that fits them. He would love to sell you some.
(717) 528-8856. Very nice guy also!!
