Funny JD, when one of my dogs had a nose full of them things, i just pulled 
'em out by hand. She didn't even flinch either. Never made a peep. I was 
cringing when i did it, because i thought i was gonna hurt her.........but 
she was cool. mark

Turpentine might draw it out.  My coon hunting uncle used it to get 
porcupine quills to come out of his dogs.  Sounds silly I know. It also 
will take the soreness out.  Just don't DRINK it.
