I've only been stiffed twice on ebay
One was for �1.99 inc postage, this was on paypal but was for a sum too small to be covered by PAY-PAL refund garentee. He got blocked by ebay
The other was for �29.48 inc postage and VAT (sales tax) ---- I sent a cheque with my name and address on the back, along with ebay item number, item name, item description. He received a great deal of money from all over the country closed his business address and kept the money.
I obtained his home address and wrote asking for the money back but was ignored.
Regarding this as a chalenge I went to the police and charged him with theft, then to VAT fraud investigation and asked if he was VAT regestered, he wasnt so they are prosecuting him for VAT fraud. The Inland revenue are investigating him for tax fraud, Trading standards are investigating his activities, the utilities companies Gas Electric Water Phone are all chasing him for monies at his home address not the empty business address and he got blocked by ebay
The investigating police officer said "ALL this lot, all these departments, all this paperwork ... and its for less than thirty pounds !!! Sheeesh ![]()
