I caught my first ever steelhead on a trip to Idaho and Washington this fall 
- and did it on a fly rod.  Having grown up in Illinois and having seen 
Northwest steelhead caught on fishing shows over the years, I never thought 
I'd have the chance.  It was every bit as awe-inspiring as I could have 
imagined!

Looking back on 2003, I have to say it has been one of my best seasons for
