I've been thinking this one through to try and figure out the defining moment of 2003 and I just can't come up with one. I did catch my first trout on a dry fly for the year in Jan. which is about 5 months earlier then any year previous years. But I think the one thing that sticks out for 2003 is my brother coming on our annual spring trip and then deer hunting with me in the fall. Both fly fishing and hunting were a first for my brother in 2003 and for the first time in many years it gave the 2 of us something to do together. The only drawback was the fact that the little jerk got a Buck this year and I didn't : ).
