Honestly spoken. I do not own dubbing wax or similar. I use UNI and other prewaxed threads and have no problems with dubbings.
Some time ago someone mentioned on the list, that the need for wax came from the old time materials, no pre-waxed threads and no tools to hold hook and thread. Wax was needed to keep the dubbing on the thread.
I'm off now for 2 days, don't know if I can read my mails.

I hadn't tried the toilet seal wax before, just thought it would work. I remember others saying that's what they used.
