Thanks, Mel (and everyone) - I'm trying to get ahold of Kaufman's nymph book. I've been keeping up with Fly Tyer and Fly Fisherman magazines, but there haven't been many nymphs of the style I tie... I'm one of those few tyers who strive for realism in my nymphs, spending a week or so on a fly that seldom gets fished - too derned pretty! - or else tying up a 'traditional' pattern to be fished with (dries are an entirely different story, but i'm getting better - 5 or 10 minutes for one of those). Just a quick thumbing- through of Kaufman's book (2nd edition, mind you) makes it seem like the 3rd ed. has some very decent techniques that could be used for my 'style'. Thanks to all, and I hope to see some of you at the Ft. Washington, PA Show next weekend! -Pete
