Opposition is building to the Bush administrations
antienvironment stance.

At one time, I heard that upwards of 90% of all the
lumber harvested in the western United States was
going to Pacific rim countries.  We are clear cutting
our land, while countries like Japan are saving their
forests.  Such a tragedy for the trout, salmon, and
steelhead fisheries that are stressed by dams and
overharvest.
