What would you do if ?
You've driven for three hours, and hiked for two miles after parking your fishing car. As
you make your way down to the stream, a very large and unkempt fisherman steps into
your favorite pool, just as you're about to. You watch quietly, not sure what to do.
His rig is nothing but a fly rod, bare hook, (barbed) with a gob of red-worms and a cork.
On the fifth drift through "your" Pool, his rod bows deeply and he fights a mighty fish.
He sneers as he reels in "Old Tom", the trout you've tried every year for the last ten to catch.
Then the SOB kills Old Tom and sticks him in his creel.
Catching Old Tom is not enough. So he re-rigs and drifts the pool again.
This time he catches "Old Sarah", who while not quite as large as Old Tom has
much more striking colors. Then he kills Old Sarah and sticks her in his creel.
Mind you this stretch of stream is catch and release, no barbs on hooks.
