I hope you recuperate quickly so you can get out and use those experimental
flies. I too have been using CDL for wings on caddis, but only on size 18 and
smaller. I really like the look of them, and it's so much easier to work with
than hair in the smaller sizes. I've also been using it for tailing dries
where it's giving me much better results than fibetts.
The speckled colors are very appealing... I hope this product catches on for
Whiting. It's great that he's introduced it here. Lots of good Spanish
patterns use it for hackle too, but I haven't tried that yet. Have you?
