Morning my friend, I am glad you are safe.
I would recommend at the least filling a report with your local sheriff,
constable, police DNR or somebody. Even if they only find and confront the
perps about it it may cause them to think. I will also alert them to be more
vigilant when in the areas of the ponds and such. The next person may not be
as lucky.

We have had similar experiences at our local lake. Last year on 4 separate
occasions on the same day the "Drunk" boat operators pulling skiers thought
it great fun to see how close they could get to us in our canoe. Nice for us
our neighbor Richard, (armed Game Warden and fly fisherman), was patrolling
the lake that day. Besides ourselves there were 3 other canoes on the water,
all of us fishing the dam area. The day netted, (pun intended), 22 citations
for reckless endangerment, and other offenses. 10 Arrests for Operating a
boat under the influence, and 8 arrests for serving beer to minors plus a
bunch of arrests and citations for under age drinking and also illegal
drugs.

Funny thing was, we didn't report a single one, the Game wardens "Knew" what
would happen when the canoes hit the water, it was only a mater of time.
Hope this year is not as eventful.
Jimi

Was out fishing a pond this morning. Had another boat show up but the pond
is big enough for two boats.

Trouble was the guys were drunk and did stupid stuff. Started pushing my
canoe into the shore with their boat.
It was going good until we hit the stump and the canoe flipped. Luckily
only 3 feet of water but I am not sure who was more scared.
The left in a hurry and I had to bail out the canoe.
IT will be a while before I return the that pond.

Rick
