Electrofishing! I loved doing that stuff, but you have to be careful or you burn the fish bad... caught my largest (of only 2 ever) palomino with electrofishing! It takes away the fun of the fly, though, but for research it's great. Also great for kick sienes, as it's not exclusive to the big ol'fish, but does the lil' ones and nymphs also.
