Hello Listers,
I have been flyfishing for trout for about 10 years. I travel
all over the state in pursuit of all species of trout indigenous to this locale
-- my favorite being the small, native Brook Trout. They are very challenging
to catch and loads of fun on a 2/3 wt. rod. However, my craving for something
new has led me back to a couple of great smallmouth rivers right at my back
door. I have had great success spinning for these fish, but little success with
the long rod. Any hardcore Smallie fisherman on the List? I am looking for
some "favorite patterns," rigging info or just some good advice for a beginner.
I have been tying for about 8yrs., so please share some of your patterns if
you feel like doing so.
