It can be very hard to tell the difference
between the two species, and to make matters even more complicated, there are ocean going varieties.
I have experienced what I used to refer to as Dolly Varden follow a small trout that
I have hooked on a fly. I now believe these to be Bull Trout. Now why do we call them
trout when they are not trout at all but char? Why not Bull Char? Seems the taxonomists
screwed up. Greater |
