Paul: I don't know about these taxonomists! First, they cause confusion by naming char(r) trout, and then they can't decide how to spell char(r).
Question, would you ask a taxonomist for directions? Seems you would likely end up in the wrong city! Nev Gosling Greater Vancouver, B.C. Nev, it's likely if you went to a mtg of taxonomists you would hear bull charr; note spelling. In all the scientific papers referencing brook trout, they are now, correctly of course, referred to as brook charr. BTW, caught a few of those in PEI during the last few days. Cheers, Paul
