As some of you know, I have been turning reel seats to sell on eBay as a summer project and among the woods I have is Cedar Burl. It is very aromatic and quite oily: clogs up the sandpaper fast. But I always have a nice pile of cedar chips after turning a few, and it always seemed a shame to just throw them away. Using them to keep bugs out sounds like a great idea.

You can get cedar chips in the pet dept at walmart, etc. Hamster bedding is sometimes made from cedar shavings or chips.

Hope that helps and tight lines,

Chris,

I do the same thing, but I use cedar bedding that I get at the ranch store.

It's dirt cheap,

If at first you don't succeed, maybe you shouldn't try sky diving!
