One of my most favorite fishing flys is a black mosquito.
I tie it only on size 16,18 or 20, Daiichi 1190.
thread black 8/0
tail = Black hackle fibers (dry fly hackle)
Rib = fine silver wire
Body = Black floss (single strand)
Wing = JV hen cape hackle, tied in down wing style (I think the round end
hen makes better wings)
Hackle = Black dry fly hackle, some I hackle liberally for fast water,
sparsely for more calm water.

Normal pattern I use Grizzly for tail,wings and hackle.

If you want a step by step as I tie it I will be happy to do so for you, off
list cuz I do not want to get lengthy and take up band width.
