Nick That is the perfect time of year to start with the fly swaps. I also live in the frozen north, and November is the beginning of the tying season. I use the swaps for ideas for my own flies and try to duplicate the ones that really interest me. By spring all of my boxes are full old reliable ones and a bunch of new ideas just waiting for the spring opener. I hardly ever tie in the summer months, it takes away from my time on the river. Phil
