I use mostly nail polish--> Sally Hanson's Hard as Nails <--,, my first coat is thinned out for better penetration (using nail polish remover) then my second coat is straight nail polish. On my streamers and salt water flies (and even some of my nymphs, depending on their size) after the two coats of nail polish, apply one or two coats of 30 minute rod finish epoxy, notice I said 30 minute and not the 5 minute epoxy because the 5 minute stuff yellows and cracks. So far, in the 25+ years I'm tying I've never had a problem using nail polish> Not that I have a problem spending 5.00 and up for some name brand goop, I just don't see the point in it.
Time to get back to the solitaire games.
Best wishes to all
