I use Coyote tail hair, and body hair for streamers. You can also use the underfur for dubbing. I just recently lost a complete skin/hide to bugs. I had used some of it already. Cost $30 for the thing. I'll have to get another one this year. $30 is the going rate for an entire Coyote skin/hide. There's plenty of them to be had around here each year. mark....

I like to tie streamers and minnow patterns with it when I have it.
Hopefully this year I will get some coyote and fox to use and swap. Just
have to wait for it to get a bit colder first.

I have a question... Last week while heading up to begin the day fishing
the San Juan, there was a VERY large Coyote laying in the middle of the road
that someone had hit maybe an hour or so before I got there... Well I
stopped and pulled the poor thing off the road, unfortunately it was
deceased... Always looking for new tying material, I then commenced to cut
off the tail... It's about 18" long and extremely furry... My question is,
has anyone ever tyed using Coyote tail hair and how good does it work???
Also, there's so much of it that I'll never use it all, I was wondering if
anyone would like some???
