Went and turned on the well a bit ago, checked the rain gauge, 2.25" fell in that storm. Our drive has a mud bog about 100' long at the end about 12" deep, need to seriously look at getting it built up about 12" and some sort of drainage for it and about 3"s of river rock on top. Am going to try to get Theresa's van out in a bit, it may be touchy going through the mud pit. The pit by the suburban is full, about 3' deep. All the buckets in the shop are full, about 20 gallons. Need to seriously work on pulling that roof off and re-design rebuild it so it will stay dry, if the rain ever stops for more than a few hours. Only leaks in the house are in Amanda's closet, need to look at the seem on the house and see if I can determine exactly where it is coming in. This place is a green as can be for as far as the eye can see, not at all like the desert it once was. Rain gutters and catch barrels is sounding better all the time. Weather forecast says this could continue another 4 or 5 days, we have had 2 weeks of it so far. Again, will be prevented from getting any sort of work done in the shop for a couple of days due to the moisture and humidity. Obviously no type of engine work till it dries out. Yes, I can tan hides, just need to get set back up to do it. Used to tan at least a quarter of what I got years ago. Jimi
BTW, Jimi..........i wanted to say. You guys sure have had some weather this year. Pretty unusual right? I just got me a full badger skin in Montana, and a Bobcat. I have lots of Fox, but i could take a Coyote off your hands i guess. Lemme know what it entails. Can you tan it? mark.....
