I just called a guide friend at the Platte River Flly Shop, since they go
through so many sets of waders, 8 guides drifting and wade-fishing every day
in rough circumstances.

This is from the mouth of a river guide:

#1 Choice- Orvis Pro-guide, $289.00 U.S. had them 4 years & holding up very
well.  Good warrenty, backed well by Orvis.  Good price also.

#2 Choice- Patagonia SST, $335.00 U.S.  Hold up well and backed well, just a
bit more expensive.

#3 Choice- Simms, actually last choice for price $500.00+-  Not much extra
for the money, but good waders.

His recommendation was the Orvis.
