There's a fly shop for sale in Bozeman---Montana troutfitters. I personally think it would be tough to make it pay.

Wow! My husband walked away from a district mgr job with a major retailer
at the beginning of the summer. We knew it would take 6 months to find
something else at his level. We're still looking for the right fit. It has
been a huge adjustment at home. I can see he is much happier in some
aspects but he's restless. We never thought for a minute that being

job hunt it's been an interesting learning experience.
I tried to talk him into a fly shop. I thought that would be a great thing
with his marketing skills and my "tying disorder"It didn't work. :(
Maybe the location... Mexico was the wrong suggestion. I'll try again in a
few months.

I'm in the same boat currently. Spent several years
in sales and management too, with great success.
However, I felt something was missing and went out
searching. I am currently in the process of buying a
fly shop here in Colorado and am trying to develop it
into a guide service. Of course the thing keeps
running into dead ends and the final outcome is yet to
be determined, however I feel that I gave it a go at
worst. At best I will own a shop that is successful
and I will quit coming home at night with my nerves
frayed. Good things happen to good people...
If you go your own way, maybe I can help. Since I cut
the ties I have been happier and healthier. I suspect
these are good signs of things to come.
