Come to think of it....   I've seen a sail makers shop down the road from
me.   Let me know Tim if you want me to look them up and see if they have
anything like that for sale.   I'm pretty sure they just make the sails but
they may have some needles to spare.  I don't mind checking for you.

I've watched Ken make his hooks from needles,  Just not heavy and long 
enough.  They are pretty neat, though!

No, I'm not ready to build a forge or wire mill!  Just want to make some 
from scratch, including raising the barb, which is a lot easier than you 
would think.
